The Cornerstone has served the homeless since 1987. The Cornerstone is a non-profit 501 C-3, tax exempt corporation issued by the State of Ohio and the IRS. Cornerstone is a member of the Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, and Messianic Jewish Alliance of America.

Homelessness is a problem that affects many people in Washington County, Ohio. If you are homeless yourself and need help or if you want to learn more about homelessness and how you can help, we have information for you. World War II (1941-1945), Korean War (1950-1953), Vietnam War (1965-1975), Persian Gulf War (1990-1991), Afghanstan War (2001- still), Iraq War ( 2003- still).

The Departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development recently released a supplemental report to the 2009 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress on veterans. The supplement estimated that 107,000 veterans experience homelessness on any given night.

The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates about 2,000 war on terrorism veterans have become homeless upon returning to the United States
